Swiss Open Maccagno

International swiss open ACat regatta, 6 races, more than 50 boats including foils and classics from Switzerland, Italy, Germany, France, Holland, Czech Republic.
First day without wind. On Saturday and Sunday there were two races in the morning with thermal wind from the north and one race in the afternoon with wind between 10-12 Knt.
Not always predictable races in the tactical field where changes of leadership were frequent!
Lamberto, Robin and Dodè proved to be excellent opponents with each excellent skills in speed and tactics!
Congratulations to Lamberto for first place overall, Robin for second place overall and first Swiss, with Dode rounding out the podium in the foil class.
In the classics the Germans dominated the podium with Moritz, Matthias and Georg making up the podium, congratulations to Bruno Biedermann for Swiss first place.
But how great is it to race in competitions where you are at such a level where in 6 races we had 4 different firsts!
Personally, I made a few mistakes, especially in acceleration at the start, which caused me to always be catching up. A fourth place that makes me happy for the growth I've made but a bit bitter for the conscious possibility of being there in the top three!
All part of learning process i this amazing class and beautiful sport!
